Maxi skirts are making a comeback in a big way. They are so comfy and yet still manage to look polished. Not sure how to pull off a maxi skirt? Absolutely love floor-length skirts, let me show you a trick or two! Scroll through for three easy ways to style the statement skirt this summer.
Make your day-to-night transition simple by adding a leather jacket or ankle boots.
By switching accessories with same skirt, you can create so many looks. I like to pair chambray shirt, adding a belt or a fedora hat….there so many ways you can pull of this look from super casual chic to a very polished evening look.
It took me some figuring out to pair this outfit. My biggest challenge was to create balance because pleated skirts could visually add an extra size to the hips, it is almost impossible to say “no” to a pleated skirt. There are couple of things you need to consider when trying to figure out what to wear with pleated skirt. First of all, the more volume your pleated skirt has, the less volume your top should have. That is why stretchy tank tops, fitted shirts and jackets go really well with pleated skirts.
With striped top and studded ankle boots. Combine your pleated skirt with a striped top, ankle boots and add some stacked bracelets , and you get the perfect outfit to go for a walk.
I am breaking my own rule by paring it with a blouse. I created proportions by adding a floral on a solid print.
I paired these stud boots from Vince Camuto to add an edge to my outfit. It is still very romantic outfit with an edge and character.
