Party-Perfect Shorts for Summer

As the temperature is rising in Arizona, pant length is getting shorter, yet a dress seems too fancy for an evening affair – a pair of shorts that hits right above the knee in a nice fabric might be just what the stylist ordered.
I love formal shorts and bought three pairs of these cotton-satin fabric shorts to be out and about with friends and family.

The white cotton eyelet peplum top is a great combo in this ensemble to look fresh and airy.

How to wear:

I would not recommend wearing your formal shorts with a skimpy tank top or a very tight top. You would lose that easy-breezy look. In this case your legs are the focal point, so pair it with a loose, lace blouse, a tribal print, or a sleeveless, ruffled top beneath your blazer. Having a tight or skimpy top will draw attention away from the focal point of the outfit. Having a loser top gives you a more billowy-airy look that is absolutely perfect for this season.
